SHED
BUILDING

Providing sheds in times of need...

Providing homeowners with sheds provides a safe, dry place to store salvaged belongings while their homes are being rebuilt or repaired. Volunteers from local churches use this opportunity to reach out to their community in the name of Jesus Christ during a time of need.

Pre-Fabrication

We welcome groups to come and serve at our headquarters to pre-fabricate the components of the sheds, preparing them in advance to be constructed on site where they are needed.

Your group of 4-20 people ages 12+ can serve in this capacity for either a half day (3-4 hours) or a full day (6-8 hours). The price of a half day per-person is $50, and a whole day per-person is $100. Please note that shorts or pants are appropriate attire for participating in this work, but closed-toed shoes are mandatory. Housing is available for overnight groups. Tools and PPE are provided by IDES, but your tools are also welcome.

You can reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@ides.org to discuss your needs.

On-Site Assembly

After the first phase of our disaster response, IDES will work with local churches to assess if more needs to be done which could include home damage repair, home builds, and sheds.

You can get involved by going to Volunteer Opportunities and signing up to get notifications when we are looking for volunteers to serve on disaster sites. You can also connect with our Volunteer Coordinator and disaster staff to learn more about how to get plugged in and what the logistics of these projects might look like for your group!
