On December 9, 2023 in the early afternoon hours, a tornado ripped through Clarksville, TN. It destroyed 114 houses and damaged over 800 more. Our crews were on the ground assisting within a few days. We partnered with 2 Christian churches in the area to help clean up and build sheds for those affected.

IDES initial relief work continues. So far, we have been able to help over 100 people by delivering food and water, tarping roofs, and clearing debris from their yards. Roughly 100 volunteers have come out to help those affected by Hurricane Ian.

Hurricane Ian clean-up continues in Florida. The category 4 hurricane caused widespread damage across the state. We have had a record number of churches reach out to us requesting aid for themselves and their communities. The damage from this hurricane is so great, it will likely be our largest response in recent years.

September 30, 2022

Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida on Wednesday, September 28th, as one of the biggest storms to ever hit the U.S. Severe flooding has damaged homes, blocked roadways, and left many people stranded in their homes. More than 2 million people have been left without power.

IDES disaster coordinators are arriving in Florida tonight to begin initial assessments. We have already been in contact with a number of churches and are starting to reach out to homeowners who need our assistance.
