In early August 2023, a series of wildfires broke out in the U.S. state of Hawaii, predominantly on the island of Maui taking the lives of at least 100 people and destroying thousands of homes and buildings. Our response to the Maui Fires continues as we help dozens of families left homeless by providing shelter and food in this difficult time. Cornerstone Christian Church in Khei, Maui has been an incredible partner with us and is passionate about helping these families. Please join us in praying for the communities of Maui affected by the fires. 

In October 2023 IDES’ staff visited the island of Maui to meet with the ministers helping victims and the victims themselves. They witnessed the devastation and the incredible need for those affected by the wildfires. Thanks to your donations IDES’ staff also witnessed the spiritual impact it has had on the lives of the wildfire victims.
